From September until November 2001, I did my Bachelor's research at the Ioffe Fysico-Technical Institute in Saint Petersburg. Here, I lived with Mrs. Martchenko, who thought me the Russian language and the Russian eating habits. It was a wonderful and learning experience, which increased my interests for Eastern Euopean cultures and languages. This picture was taken in the beginning of September 2001, from the embankment of the Neva river, looking out on the Liteyni Bridge and the Peter & Paul Fortress.
